Embarkation was easy with minimal issues. We were able to drop our carry on in the closet while rooms were prepared, and we went to explore the ship.

Within a few hours the popular specialty dining restaurants were booked. We should have used the kiosks in the stairwells to book as soon as we boarded. The specialty restaurants had good food and superb service. If you like dining al fresco ask for a table on the Waterfront.

We had a tasty and filling breakfast in the main dining room every day. Do not be shy in the main dining room. Ask for a pot of coffee or the pastry basket for the table. The servers are always happy to serve you.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

The cabin was spacious with a queen bed and couch. Both were comfortable, though we didn't spend much time on the couch. The cabin steward was attentive and provided excellent service. A few notes on the cabin:

- The Waterfront outdoor bar and dining area was underneath our balcony. This was not a problem for us even though we could hear the other guests below.

- The climate control uses a series of lights. You do not set a temperature as a number. It took a little experimentation to find the right temperature for us.

- Water temperature can be very hot. Be careful when using the sink or shower.

- The shower controls were not intuitive. The bottom handle controls where the water comes out. Handle down is for the hand held rain showerhead. Pull the bottom handle up for water.

- If water is rough push the loose hangers in the closet to one side. Otherwise you will hear a monster bumping in the closet.
