Note: This was a 5 day itinerary, not 7 day! (November 17-21, 2019)
The MSC Meraviglia is a gorgeous, new ship and is very well maintained. It's easy to get around and find what you're looking for by using the interactive screens, maps, and the MSC & Me app. Overall, it definitely had a luxurious, European feel.
We embarked in Miami. Embarkation took a while because we got there early, about 11am; they didn't start letting people board until about 1:30pm, except maybe the Yacht Club group? Getting on the ship, there are random workers trying to sell you drink, dining and spa packages.
Very happy with the room. We had a balcony stateroom on the 14th level, rear left side of the ship. The room had a good sized bed, closet with hangers, shelves, drawers and safe; a bed which converts to bunks, small desk with mini bar, and a tv. Bathroom was good; shower pressure and temperature excellent. A/C worked great. Lighting in the room had a lot of options, and outlets (European, USB, and US) were placed by the desk not the bed, which was a little inconvenient but worked. Balcony had 2 chairs and a small ottoman. The bed was too firm for our liking. We raided the convertible couch for additional down-type bedding and pillows to get more comfortable. Key thing to know: the blow dryer is in a hidden drawer in the desk! We had to ask housekeeping! Another thing to know about this location: the Marketplace buffet was above us, so we got a little noise now and then when they were moving tables around up there.
Cozumel port had plenty of shopping and several chain restaurants - Margaritaville, Bubba Gump, Senor Frog, Hard Rock Cafe. Taxis were plentiful. Going through customs checkpoint was very easy. They didn't even ask to see passport or ID other than cruise card.
Embarked/Disembarked at Port of Miami. The process was fairly quick both ways, with plenty of parking in a garage nearby. Parking for 5 days was $88.
