We have sailed on the Anthem previously (two years ago) and are Diamond cruisers with Royal. We have sailed on several other lines, but Royal is our favorite. We have never been disappointed on Royal.

Embarkation was fast and efficient. We looked into the Key Program, but being Diamond level we already get those advantages. We had lunch on Embarkation Day in Jamies Italian Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service fast, and we did not feel as if we were rushed through lunch at all. Dinner in the Main Dining Room, second seating, was great, the service from Kendig and Voltan was efficient and prompt. While we are not gourmet eaters, we find the food extremely tasty. We ate two meals in Windjammer, the buffet, and the ONLY problem there is the other passengers that seem to ignore basic manners and step in front of you when you try to obtain food. This is NOT the lines fault, but the ignorance of people.

We have been to the stops on this cruise before, and as a matter of fact, on our very first cruise in 1992 we stopped at Coco Cay. The transformation of this private island is amazing! While we only did the beach, the offerings here are enough for anyone to find something to do. If you have not been to the Kennedy Space Center's Visitors Center, take that excursion! I believe it was worth the money. Be forewarned, if you have not booked an excursion in Port Canaveral there is literally NOTHING at the port to do. If we had not booked our excursion, we would have been more than happy to stay on the ship.
