This cruise started well after bidding on an upgrade from outside cabin to mini suite was successful. Embarkation was easy. took 5 minutes maximum.
We loved the ship and felt that the only thing that let it down was the MDR breakfasts which offered little more than the buffet; the unfunny comedian performing on the main stage rather than in a more atmospheric lounge and the cruise director whose one line of "I'm from beautiful Colombia" wore thin by the end of the cruise especially as she just didn't seem to do much. She'd last less than one cruise on Carnival.
The food was, in the main, pretty good and the Sports Bar, open until 3am, was a great late evening hangout especially as we had the drinks package thrown in.
Loved the cabin. Very spacious and modern with a huge bath, a separate WC, a walk-in closet and a bigger balcony. The aft views are great too
Only downside is the noise made by people dragging chairs in the Garden Cafe above. This increases if the weather is bad and the staff move the chairs during the night which happened on one occasion.
Stopped here twice, both times with another ship in port.
Was nice but not enough bars and the food closed far too early. Walk to the end of the island for the best chair availability and uncrowded beach.
Was told in advance not to expect too much so it was better than expected. Walked to the fort up the hill which was nice and then through the shops. Heard that the beaches were good too
