The attention of the crew of the Hild was what separated this cruise (and Viking) from all other cruise lines we have sailed on. Whether it was the morning breakfast, the mid-day lunch, an afternoon in the lounge or dining in the evening, the wait staff and bar tenders went out of their way to make you feel special. The housekeeping staff was polite and unobtrusive, while maintaining the room in excellent condition. The cruise director was knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to step in and provide assistance when necessary.

More than anything else, the ship's personal treated all the guest like old friends. Within one day, they addressed us by name, knew our cabin numbers, and always greeted us warmly.
