I chose this cruise based on price, date and mostly because we are frequent HA travelers and know what to expect - mature cruisers, good food, good entertainment, nice staterooms. While most of those criteria were met, this mid-week to mid-week cruise brought out ALL the retirees! I'd guess 80% of the guests were > 65 On the bright side, i could count the kids on one hand (3 in the pool got very dirty looks!) My biggest gripe about this vacation was that it veered from relaxing to boring, based on the overall lack of quality entertainment. The comedian was just ok on his first show, and achingly bad on his reprieve on day 7. The vocal impersonator was not very good - I wouldn't know who he was imitating if he didn't say, plus he was kind of insulting to those he imitated (making fun of Tom Jones' moves, for example - looked silly). The HA singers and dancers are ok - they work hard but it's like a high school musical. Not my cup of tea. To top all this off, the showroom is poorly laid out and 2nd floor is uncomfortable with low back seating. Besides the nightly show, the only other entertainment was a very kitschy piano bar player. That got so crowded each night that cruisers set up chairs blocking the hallway near the stores. In room entertainment and movie theater were poor - Lion King, Spiderman and Titanic? Really? Food and service were good; Cannaleto was very good. This really soured me on HA...may need to move up to Princess to get a better vacation.

Boring!
