Norwegian Dawn Cruise Review by Caesar9965
- Sail Date: November 2019
- Destination: Bermuda
- Cabin Type: Inside
This voyage was below average starting from embarkation (that was delayed over 2 hours) to poor supply management (they ran out of some wines, liquors, mixers, and even supplies for the splash academy) to below average cleaning crews, and bad communications, especially at disembarkation.
The cabin steward did a poor job, one night my daughter brought a drink back to the room and the empty cup remained until we left the ship
On the first few nights we ordered a certain wine but by night 3 they ran out, so we switched to another wine and on the last night, they ran out of that one
We ordered moscow mule during the week and by day 6 they ran out of mixers.. but didnt say anything and tried to pass off a margarita in their place.. when I questioned them they said "it was as close as we could get".. really?
Embarkation was delayed.. I asked for the last time slot and called an hour before my time and was told that they were running on time. We arrived at our specified time and were told to go sightseeing because they were a few hours behind (since we live in NYC that was not a viable option), we were told we could wait at another pier until called which occurred about 2 hours later
Disembarkation was terrible.. we were told to head down at 845 and we did. When we got to the gangway area, we were redirected to the Bliss which was so overcrowded they told us to head back to where we were but there were now over 100 people waiting there. They started the disembarkation process at the middle of the lone and had everyone walk around the entire deck to the gangway, during this walk people were just entering the line from anywhere. We finally got to the final card checkout around 10.. nearly 75 min late
