Cruise took us from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West, Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. We are not early embarkers and avoid a lot of hassles. Quick through check-in and on the ship within 15 minutes. Dropped off our bags in our room and headed for the dreaded lunch in the Oceanview. Not disappointed, overcrowded and limited choices. The muster drill, though not the terrible video, was over quickly. Very easy to space out and not retain anything from it. We chose the non-fixed dining plan which worked out very well for us. Had dinner in the MDR with a friendly wait staff (Gilberto, Mario, Lundi, and Jade) who made dinner something to look forward to each of the six nights we ate there. The other night we went to the Oceanview and it was ... b o r i n g ... and regretted it. Just not much variety in the foods. Quality is fine, but not exciting. Other than the bars in the Oceanview and the Mast Bar (upstairs from the pool deck), bartender service was awful. No attempt to serve people in the order they arrived - and the bartenders rarely missed the opportunity to serve their "special customers" ahead of others. Pretty obvious how it worked. One person in our group got fed up and blasted the guest relations desk. There was much more to do in the evenings than on our prior Celebrity cruise. Thankfully Silent Disco was offered on two nights. The theater shows included Topper and Elysium which while visually stimulating were more like empty calories. Performers did a good job, but the material wasn't great. They brought on a singer for a few shows (the guy with the sparkly boots). We lasted 15 minutes before abandoning the show. Dominick of the activities staff turned up a lot and was charming. Carlos, the Cruise Director, did a solid job, didn't overshadow the shows but maintained a presence. The pool area was crowded but not ridiculously so; you could get chairs most all of the time. The usual chairhogs were out in force. The entire Solarium was taken over by a group each afternoon and was basically of no use to most other passengers. We didn't do ship-based excursions and had no difficulties with getting on and off the ship at ports. Disembarkation was unbelievably fast.

More fun than my previous Celebrity cruise

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda
Cabin 1A
If you can deal with being in the very back of the ship - last room before aft-facing cabins - this room was really good. Huge balcony, quiet. Room attended kept things tidy. A longer walk to the stairs since there are only the two banks of elevators but worth it.
Panorama Deck Inside Cabins, Balcony Cabins, Suite Cabins
