We had been dedicated to the Princess Cruise line after a great experience with them. This 10-day, 3-port cruise was expected to be more of that same great experience. However, it was NOT!
The food was horrible, the crew was in a bad mood/attitude and it showed. It was bad enough that we are probably going to cancel the cruise that we already had booked for 2020.
Princess is no longer worthy of any attention.
The low quality food extended to the formal dining room for dinner. They were unable to properly prepare any of the types of fish that they served (from one night to another). Terribly overcooked.
Some nights we chose to skip it, due to the menu choices. Can you imagine Spaghetti being the featured special? Yes, that was their idea of fine dining.
Princess cruise line has, in our view, dropped from Excellent, to Poor quality. They are no longer a good vacation option.
Very small and the balcony was very small too (not much depth).
This is as the port of embarkation. We did use a Princess transfer from the airport to the ship. This was very nice, as our luggage was loaded at the airport and was quickly moved to our stateroom from the bus.
We rented a car so that we could see all of the island. We really enjoyed the French side. The beaches and local food of Grand Case was fabulous!
It was a beautiful tour. Both the tour guide and the bus driver were great professionals and provided a fun experience.
Antigua offers 365 beaches on this beautiful island, and fabulous views. The entire island (outside of St. John's) was beautiful.
The Capital, St. John's, itself was not interesting at all. This is the port city.
So, get outside of the city and you will NOT be disappointed.View All 194 Island Tour Reviews
We rented a car so that we could explore the whole island. The beaches are Choice!
As for local cuisine, make sure to visit: Pika’s Corner. Wonderful food and service. It was in Noord.
This was our termination port.
