This was an excellent way to see most of Hawaii, without having to pack up and change locations. We considered it a floating hotel.
Our room attendant was amazing. Always smiling, happy and very kind. She kept our room immaculate, tidying up twice a day.
The staff we encountered were all friendly and easy to engage in conversation. Anyone I asked for directions or assistance was more than happy to help.
Probably, our only complaints had to do with the food. It is not that there weren't more than enough choices to make as far as venues are concerned, it's that (especially in the Aloha Cafe), the food was slightly warm to lukewarm much of the time. If it had any warmth when self plating it, by the time we got to the table, it didn't have much appeal. The Skyline had nice choices, but the first time we tried it, again, the food was lukewarm.
We didn't experience the Entertainment options on this cruise, so can't comment on that.
We found the 13th deck to be a perfect little hideaway spot with a small dipping pool and whirlpool. It's the area where smoking is allowed, and it does have an outside bar. Not many people use that as their pool area, so it's not overcrowded and noisy.
We went on three NCL reserved excursions, the Maui Plantation; Hawaii Volcanoes National Park; Kauai Director's Cut. All good choices and we enjoyed all three.
I would recommend this cruise for anyone who would like to see the most the Hawaiian Islands have to offer in a convenient way.
Our balcony cabin was very adequate for our needs. Plenty of storage, comfortable, well kept. Our only complaint was the poor tv choices when we wanted to watch something before bed.
We were shuttled to the Volcanoes National Park, and our guide was very informative. We stopped first at the Visitors Center for a short time, then continued onto the rim of the volcano, where we were able to take pics. Also continued on to the opposite side of the rim where the lava fields are located. Enjoyed this excursion.View All 153 Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Reviews
