To sail Cunard was always my dream and after 12 cruises on other lines we decided to book for our 40th Anniversary. There were 6 in our party, ages 63 to 81 years in inside and balcony cabins. The ship was beautiful. The cabins well equipped and our cabin stewards could not have been better. The lecture series was very interesting and informative. But we were very disappointed in the food served in the Britannia Dining room and the Kings Court. In the Dining room the food was frequently over sauced, or dried out! It was poorly prepared and bland. I had a corn chowder where the husk was still attached to the corn kernels. The food of Kings Court was repetitive and uninspired. While there were many service attendants in Kings Court, getting them to pick up dirty dishes was a task! We did expect better from a “premium “ cruise line.
