Where to begin, I really looked forward to this cruise as it was my first and my honeymoon with my beautiful wife. Being a novice I booked far in advance, as it turned costing me more for an interior state room than for a mini suite. As I foolishly thought, no worries I'm sure we can just talk to guest services and they could rectify the situation with an upgrade or maybe just a complimentary bottle of wine. Well I thought wrong, they wouldn't do anything. This being mostly my own fault I didn't give it to much thought. It's when I realized that the Maine dining room served the same tired menu every day and the buffet was an utter disappointment serving what amounted to day old ledt overs that I started to get a bit annoyed. So I decided to try a restraint aboard called food republic and for a mere $ 140.00 USD you too can partake in overpriced take out. So, the food situation being awful, I decided to partake in a show not realizing all shows are booked in advance in what I can only describe as a tiny venue with no hope of fitting even 5 percent of the passengers at any time. I did manage to attend the very last show on the ship a choir of men, which was excellent, just wish I could have seen more for the money I paid. So the entertainment was great, if you could get in to see it. Alright the food is bad and there is no hope of getting into a show so I decided to try the rope course and maybe get iij n some mini golf. I got on the line for the rope course and was waiting to walk up the stairs to start and stood to listen a crew member belittling a terrified woman who didn't even have the decency to get off his lazy butt and go attend to her. So I went up and gently coached her through. The woman only needed a little reassurance and she did great, no thanks to the crew. His rudeness and unwillingness to merely do his job was not an anomaly. Most crew moved through the ship as if every guest was a distraction from their respective responsibilities. But the cream of the crop was definitely the st george ferry crew. My wife had to talk me down from pummeling the rudest most inept crew I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. They were late arrive, late to leave, unbelievable rude. They were honestly yelling at the elderly leaving woman and children waiting on black top in direct sun light for hours than giving people an attitude, I couldn't believe it. At that point any way of NCL redeeming themselves was gone. I spent thousands of dollars to ensure my honeymoon would be something I could look back on with joy and reverence. Instead NCL overcharge me for bad food, RUDE staff, and little to no entertainment. Now that is what I get to remember forever.
