This is a rambling sort of review..hopefully, if might help someone...embarcation was very smooth..separate lounge for Elite Capt. Club..barely had time for coffee..we were on bd at 12:00. Wouldn't let us eat in the DR as they now allow guests for a send-off lunch..so we did the buffet. Very nice mini-suite but as previously reported, no roof on the veranda on Dolphin deck. Did open dining and since we and friends were always willing to share a large table, we never waited..we dined at 6:00 pm most nights and got to the theater for shows very early..they run shows twice one night and once the second..the smalled venue has different shows...best production shows we've seen in more than 20 cruises..the vocalists were fantastic....and Cruise Director David Cole was the brightest, most personable and hardest working CD I've ever come across. Lots of activities during sea days..too cold for for the pools but we chilled out..even took ukalele lessons...Food in the DR could have been better most nights..had to saw thru my filet migion...ate at Sabitini's one night..very nice experience .... 18 course meal..2.5 hrs..well worth the $20 cover.....outstanding cabin attendent..thank you, Nestor. Worse bed I ever slept in..had back ache every night except the last..left message with Prin Capt Cir Dir..she never called me back by had apparently told Nestor to get us some boards which helped a lot...took pvt tours and rented cars in Hawaii..didn't hear much good reports back re: ship tours...for Big Island, took Alex Tours and lucky to get tour guide Lisa..this lady was a stand up comedian..had us laughing for 4.5 hours. One warning..friends in P-334 had the cabin from hell...sounds included sloshing, gurgling and creaking you wouldn't have believed...the 10th night out they couldn't take it any pool and decided to sleep by the indoor pool..they called Purser's Office which immediately moved them to a cabin not available prior to Hawaii.... Looking back, total of 9 sea days were a little much but the activites and especailly the Brits we met, who were all charming, witty and friendly, made this a very nice cruise.
