I choose this cruise because of the port of embarkation. The boarding process was horrific even though I had checked in online when I got to the port it was congested and I waited in line for one hour before being processed. Disembarking in Orlando took over 45 minutes standing in line again and some guests did not disembark as they were put off by the long line. The 3 restaurants onboard that are complimentary with your fare serve the same menu at the same time so all 3 would serve the same dinner menu on the same night. Not much in terms of variety unless you dine at the specialty restaurants or the Garden Cafe buffet. The public announcement system is the worst as the only way to hear the announcements in your room is to open the door or turn the tv to Channel 22. Additionally if there is a movie playing in the Atrium and an announcement from the cruise director is being made it does not override the audio from the movie so you are straining to hear the announcement over the movie. The cruise director Jackie Tang is not personable and approachable. Part of his job description should include being warm, friendly and approachable with the passengers as he is representing Norwegian Cruise Lines. The assistant cruise director is better suited to that job. The comedy shows were good as was The Choir of Man. There are lots of activities for kids. The Asian DJ at Spice H2O needs to play a variety of music and not so much EDM which seems to be Jackie’s preference. Thank goodness for Latin night and the last night at The Skylight Lounge.
The cabin was comfortable and Amar the room attendant kept it clean and refreshed supplies as requested.
