The ship is newer, so that's a plus. Matt, the cruise director was AHHMAZING, the food was okay. The entertainment was good when we had it. Didnt have a show every night. The comedians were great. This ship DOES NOT have glass elevators in the atrium which contributed to very crowded elevators everywhere. Not sure the artsy funnel piece that replaced those glass elevators was a good move. In the Liquid Lounge they don't have the traditional bench seating. It's individual chairs. Not as comfortable, in my opinion. We had a great time, but this was not our favorite ship. Our waiter Juan in Reflections dining was funny. The food was so-so with a few stand out items: Tiger Shrimp Creole and Filet Mignon being outstanding and the Chicken Breast was surprisingly moist. And our daily omelet chef Austen was great. His line was consistently longer than the others, because he was the best!!
The biggest disappointment had to be the Casino. It was SOOOOO SMOKY that we couldn't even walk through. Bad!!!! I played a few minutes the first night and never stepped back in there. We would take the stairs to the next floor to walk around the smoke. Ventilation was almost non existent.
We've taken seven cruises - all with Carnival with another already booked next year. Not sure we are interested in the Vista again.
This little cabin was just right for the two of us. We did like the way the room was arranged. King bed centered on the back wall with small nightstands on both sides. No couch, two desk areas.
Great shopping in port!!! Easily walkable. Margaritaville was so much fun to celebrate my husband's birthday. While a commercialized chain it was right downtown and easily accessible.
