I have chosen this cruise due to having good experiences on most of NCL ships, and it left from NYC which was good for me. 2 days we both wanted to take a shower and no water for showering. The last morning very early only cold water for a shower. Note: in order to get warm water the left dial had to be on 50, yes 50. 30 something shows red for danger. At times while taking a shower the water got burning hot a few seconds then cold then warm then hot again, thats how you take a shower. Yes it was reported, said they will fix but wasn't, they said sorry, da. Commode making noise 1 night keeping me up again. Many people had trouble with water for showering on this ship. We ended up with an inside cabin, and first night had no air exchange both of us couldn't sleep. Second day it was supposed to be fixed. My partner left the room every night about 2 - 3 AM to sleep on a chair out of our room due to problem with are exchange and it being to cold in the room to try to help the situation. The last night the heat was on the highest and it still was to cold and shower was cold water my partner came into the room from sleeping near service dept on 7 deck and didn't take a cold shower in this cold room and said he will take a shower after returning home.

Now for the food, the buffet was half Indian food which we didn't like. I also need less spice (medical reflux) I was told to ask for bed riser and found ship doesn't have it. We both found almost all food to be so salty that all you tasted was salt. Most of the food was very spicy for me even though we both requested low spices and salt when when we were asked if we have food restrictions at each dinner. In bamboo I ordered egg drop and corn soup and didn't realize they gave me hot and sour soup even though we said restriction spice and salt medical reasons. I tasted it and it burned my esophagus. My food came and it was very spicy orange chicken I ordered instead of orange beef so they would cook it separately. It came with no rice. My partner ordered fried rice no meat in it which was on the menu as a dinner order by itself. So we shared it. I ended up sitting up with esophagus pain many nights. We found food to be sauteed or fried also. Even broiled fish was sitting in oil on the plate and all I tasted was salt. I didn't eat the fish but had plain rice for dinner. We had 7 nights in specialty dining. For lunch (to be safe) We ended up with a scoop of ice-cream most of this trip. My partner also had stomach pain for about 5 days. We had booked a shore excursion and on the ship we couldn't get details regarding this, was not known, WHY?, due to my limitations we couldn't find out in 24 hours if this would be good for me or not so we had to cancel, she could give us no details at all that was important. At the pool band and singers found to be not good. Shows were good to excellent but not every night as it previously was. Found people wondering around not knowing what to do. Room was somewhat clean but bathroom smelled.

There was a problem with embarkation due to an accident. O-K Most guests were cooperative. Ship could of handled it better, they knew this for a week before we got back to NY. Crew seemed frazzled. We waited hours beyond the time expected to leave. They even opened up buffet for lunch when we were supposed to leave after breakfast. Regarding the Woman's bathroom near the pool, many of the doors do not lock so others can walk in on you. We have been on many cruises with NCL and others
