Celebrating my husbands retirement. Got a great deal through a travel company. Because we got such a great deal it’s easy to focus on the positives for sure. We definitely got off to a rough start though. NCL shuttle from LAX was a nightmare & I felt horrible seeing elderly suffer standing in the heat for so long with enormous herds of people with poor leadership NCL staff. Since the ship is So large this = thousands of people to care for & get on & off ship. NCL fails in customer care & organization in this. Our cabin was filthy when we finally got to it. I felt dirty just being in the room. Management came straight away & gave our cabin steward a ear full & we had to leave for the cabin to be cleaned. I was sprayed 2x’s with dirty cleaning water from above deck while sitting on our balcony. Food quality in main dining rooms poorest quality & variety I’ve ever experienced. NCL keeps the quality food for the specialty restaurants for sure. Was stressful trying to get bookings for shows & specialty restaurants. I feel as though they shouldn’t sell dining packages if getting a table for 2 is nearly impossible. Book these as early as possible prior to cruise for sure! I pre booked shows from NCL AP & The didn’t have record of my reservations at the entry doors so I had to show my printable copy I brought with. On vacation there should not be so much hassle & stress. I prefer smaller ships for sure after this experience,
