Enjoyed seeing the different areas of Budapest and sampling the food and wines.

Bratislava

Did not have enough time; the palace was extensive and very interesting to hear about it from our guide.  The grounds were lovely and would have liked to have more time to explore.

Really enjoyed Durnstein.  The villages and towns were what I really wanted to see and Durnstein did not disappoint!

Had a wonderful time at the Music Museum.  The 'automated' music boxes were impressive, from small to very large!
Additionally, we were treated to the Rudesheim Brandy drink!  It was just the right treat for a fall day.  Loved it so much we purchased two ceramic cups/saucers and brought home some of the local brandy.  Had a great time wandering the town, enjoyed a free lunch at a local restaurant and shopping!

We had some time at the Cologne Cathedral on the way to the Jewish history museum tour.  My husband especially enjoyed the Jewish history tour, and I agree that it was very impactful to see and hear what happened during WWII.  Afterwards we had some free time with our friends so we went back to the Cathedral and then had coffee and pastries.  Delicious!

This was a good way to orient ourselves to how to wander throughout Amsterdam

We booked a private tour and we both enjoyed it very much.  My husband is not much of an art museum fan, he was surprised at how much he enjoyed the Rijksmuseum.  I was very happy!

We enjoyed this tour, although it rained throughout the tour and that was very uncomfortable.  The cheese factory was lovely, very disappointing that we cannot take the unpasteurized cheese home.  While it was nice to see and tour the windmills, the general area seemed like a bit of a tourist trap.

We also appreciated our cruise director who was wonderful at guiding us and responsive during stressful times.We chose Avalon for our first river cruise because of the itinerary, the amenities offered during the cruise and the cabin layout.
