This was our first cruise. We chose a mini suite with balcony which was a great choice especially with two children. It was on offer and we couldn’t refuse!
Unfortunately due to bad gales in Southampton the ship was unable to depart on time and we ended up missing our first port of call (Bruges) and had an extra day at sea. The ship was unable to turn due to shallow waters and facing inwards at the dock. Not bothered so we just enjoyed the ship instead.
Lots to do on board the ship and my son (6) loved the kids club.
Mini suite with balcony
Lovely room
Everything worked and was kept lovely by our cabin assistant
Lovely city. The open top bus was excellent plenty of time to look around Copenhagen as the ship was in from 1000 until 2200
A lovely little town to walk around. Some nice local shops
We were lucky with the weather and hired some bikes with a trailer on the front for the children. We cycled to the beach at Grenen and got on the tractor trailer which took us right to the tip. This is where the North Sea meets the Baltic Sea and you can literally stand with one foot in each sea.
What a beautiful city. We took a small ferry from the port over to where all the museums are and took the children to the Viking ship museum. It didn’t take long to look around (there are lots of museums in this area to fill time) but my what amazing things they have in there.
We walked to the palace after returning and then went to the castle at the port (we were docked next to it)
Would love to visit Oslo again.
We loved the sapphire princess. The food was excellent as was the entertainment. My son thoroughly enjoyed his time in kids club too and came back with countless items he had been given, made or had won in a competition. I think we needed another suitcase just for this!
Service was excellent
