This wasn't at all what we expected as our first cruise.
Embarkation was a nightmare. After receiving our cabin keys we were herded to a large room with hundreds of people. We waited there for 4 hours with nothing to drink and lots of standing room only with all the people. There was a network problem of some sort that stopped anyone from getting on the ship.
After finally getting on we wanted a drink. Couldn't get one as the bars were not open and neither were the restaurants. Off to our cabin we went. Not very spacious to say the least for a mini-suite, not even a chair to sit in.
2 electrical outlets in the room, both in the same place. Finally found one in the bathroom that didn't look like an outlet. Had to have a crew member show us how to plug something in. Not one chair to sit in only the bed.
The couch/bed was terrible. Regular bed was adequate but not very comfortable. For a "Floating Hotel" I'd say Motel 6 is what it was patterned after.
On a positive note it was kept clean.
Took a 2 hour private tour from an independent guy on the pier. Was interesting and informative.
Shopped for jewelry. Got an excellent opal for much less than could acquire at home.
