This was our first cruise ever and we were underwhelmed with the hospitality and the overall treatment that Norwegian provided. We waited 4 hours in the terminal to board the ship and then immediately had to do the required safety convocation so we did not get to our room until 4:30 p.m. Then when we signed up for the shore excursions we paid cash and Norwegian still charged us. Then when we went on the dolphin encounter excursion the bathroom on the boat did not work AND the snorkeling was closed due to safety, which we understand but we paid $165 per person for this excursion so you would think we would get refunded partially or we would get something complimentary, no we did not. Also, all of the servers and bartenders were rude and clearly did not want to serve us. We had a handful of good experiences from them. Our cabin boy was VERY friendly so that is one good experience. But overall this cruise was awful, this was our honeymoon and our first cruise ever and we have never felt so mistreated on a vacation before in our lives. We may not be beyond wealthy but we still paid a lot of money to do this honeymoon and it was a very disappointing experience. My husband and I made the most of it because we are newlyweds and we wanted to have the best honeymoon but it was definitely a challenge at times due to Norwegians poor hospitality and treatment of its guests. I hate to say it but we will probably never use Norwegian again.
