We did not actually choose this cruise ourselves, the cruise was chosen by our daughter and her fiance. They wanted a cruise which was in this specific time period (end of Oct) and fit into their budget. They picked Norwegian specifically because it offered free at sea specialty dining, internet, and alcoholic beverages and seemed to be a good value for the money.
We never went on a cruise ship which was this large before (we have been on 4 other cruises) but we have now learned something. Apparently every item which you want for the cruise has to be chosen weeks in advance before you board the ship. Failure to do this will result in a cruise in which you do absolutely nothing.
The two actual shows which we were able to book were quite good. However the venues were too small considering how hard it was to get reservations. Other than that there were numerous alcohol lubricated entertainments going on around the ship- imitations of various game shows, etc. And, of course, you could always amuse yourself by loosing money in the casino.
This was a very nice cabin with a comfortable queen sized bed. The room had drapes which actually closed properly so you could make the room dark. It had a fairly good sized bathroom whose only fault was that it lacked any space in which you could store your toiletry items.
The steward kept the room extremely clean, and brought extra items (tissues, towels) every time they were requested.
