This ships design for 4,000 people—is not, “people friendly”, for most everything. Restaurants/Bars/Entertainment/Cruise info Desks/Tour booking desks, most services are confined to 3 decks: 6-7-8. So, always, very crowed. Layers of people waiting in lines, from the bars, to the Help desk, restaurants, etc.. The buffet food was bland (at best), and a wall of people, constantly circled it, 2-3 deep, all bumping into each other. Dining room and specialty dining were, “Hit and miss.” One night the shrimp cocktail, was fresh and very good, the next night, mealy and, horrible. Room hallways are quite narrow. We did enjoy our balcony room. It was spacious, and was a wonderful place to retreat to, often, to get away from the crowd, chaos. The adult pool was very small and surrounded by smoking areas/bars. Our cruise abruptly changed/cancelled 2 of 4 of our, “Ports of Call.” The captain, over the ships loud, garbled, speaker system, spent about a minute, early in the morning, each day, explaining changes. Where we did stop, most shore tours were cancelled, --due to bad weather, which we never really encountered. Communication from the crew—was slow, and answers changed, from one crew member to the next. (Organized chaos at best) Leaving the boat (Debarkation) was a claustrophobic—chaotic, experience. We were herded, like animals, in snaking, endless lines, around the interior halls of the boat/casino. No signs, just a few employees yelling and waving their arms pointing in different directions. People shook their heads in disgust, and most raised their voices, asking and questioning everyone around them, if they were in the right line, to get off the **** boat. Not sure who, “dropped the ball”, but ill feelings were apparent, from frowns to loud, open arguments/complaints, most of this trip. We did receive a $100.00 per room, credit, on our closing bill, plus a letter, the night before we left, offering us a 20% discount, on our next cruise, if taken within 2 years. (Found out the 20% is offered to everyone/anyone who has cruised with Norwegian before--so extra value =0) For us, a once in a lifetime cruise experience, was shattered and replaced, with bitter, bad memories.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom
Cabin BC
Bathroom, roomy, lots of nooks/crannies for storage. Shower, large, instant hot water, great water flow. Toilet very loud when flushed. Couch, long with storage. TV easy to use. Room key required in a slot to keep a/c on--Soo not as cool as we wanted when we left the room, and came back. Beds comfortable, pillows, soft/hard, yours to pick. Balcony quite narrow, so two people sitting was max. for the outside area, and tight. Overall, room comfortable, with lots of storage.
