I have to start by saying the staff onboard this ship certainly give the impression that they love what they are doing! That was very refreshing! The activities were plentiful and entertaining. The food was good, but I do have to say that service in the Main Dining Rooms was difficult at times. The staff seemed to be run off their feet. During our first breakfast in Taste it took almost half an hour to get our first cup of coffee. The empty cups and cream were set on the table as soon as we ordered coffee, but no one came to fill the mugs despite asking multiple times. This trend continued intermittently throughout the cruise. Sometimes we did receive a small pot of coffee right away, but all too often we had to beg for our first cup...and refills just didn't happen. The bar drinks and other foods were typically served in a timely manner though. Our last dinner which we took in the Manhattan Room took over 2 hours. This was disappointing because we had a 7:30pm show and took care to arrive to the dining room by 5pm. At 7:30 we actually left before dessert was through. This was shocking. It was very busy by 7:30, but when we were seated at 5pm there was only a handful of people seated. The food was good, but the slow service was disappointing. Our server seemed to be rushing, so we didn't complain. It just meant that we arrived to Choir of Men late. But speaking of Choir of Men...that was fantastic! Such a great show. We also really enjoyed After Midnight and the bar entertainment, namely Sing-a-long with Justin Golan and Howl at the Moon (duelling pianos). The cabin was nice with a lot of storage cubbies. (We had a mid-ship balcony on the 15 floor). Our 14 year old son thoroughly enjoyed Entourage. All in all an enjoyable vacation.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

The cabin was nice and the beds were all comfortable. We had both of our boys in the room with us, our daughter stayed with my parents. The bathroom was better than I've had on other cruise lines, more storage and better sink/counter space. Water pressure and temp were excellent and the provided shampoo and shower gel were enjoyed by the boys (I brought my own preferred stuff). My only negative surprise was when I left a towel on the floor to be changed out (I had soiled it with self-tanning lotion) and I found it folded and hung again after the cleaners had been through. However, the rest of the room services were spot on.
