After much excitement and over a year of waiting for our first sailing on Celebrity Edge , we have hands-down decided that the Solstice Class ships are our favorite ships on Celebrity. Edge Is a beautiful ship but I found it locked the intimacy of the beautiful lounge gathering areas on Solstice Class ships. We missed seeing our fellow cruisers dancing in the grand foyer at nght and did not care to have the martini bar located in the middle of this area. The Club is isolated and always empty. The inhouse entertainment geared towards a young crowd. The new multi restaurant dining choices was awesome, but as far as Specialty Restaurants go, Fine Cuts was the best. Le Bistro average. Edge Restaurant had a strange menu and my husband refused to pay for a menu he could not understand ahead of time! The service was outstanding. Shore Excursion desk gets five stars . This particular team of crewmembers went above and beyond for us. Keep in mind that Shore Excursions on other ships is usually our least favorite department to deal with. These crewmembers were so knowledgeable and exceeded our expectations. We are booked on two Celebrity ships for 2020, and Solstice Class ships are we will be sailing!
