This is as concise as I can make it; rating on a 1-10 scale (10 being excellent) Ground Pre Transfer: Airport to Hotel 10 Marriott 8 1) Double beds 2) same room# and Cabin # Tour 8 Intinan Museum had cool demos Lunch 8 Dinner 9 Transfer: hotel to airport 10 Flight 10 12 Business Class seats available @ $225 RT Transfer: airport to ship 8 Transfer to ship was by cabin #, had to wait until everyone deplaned Post Transfer: Ship to airport 10 Airport to hotel 10 Marriott 8 Shopping tour 6 Dinner 5 Fish was good, beef did not meet US standards Transfer: hotel to airport 10 Flora Design: Public Space 10 Design: Cabins 8 The biggest flaw was limited space to dry bathing suits, etc Design: Panga dock 5 Any sophomore engineer at GA Tech could design a better system. This is an ugly accident waiting to happen Staff: Leadership 6-10 Hotel Director was on top of his game. Maitre d' was stretched too thin. Guide Leader could use some customer relations lessons Staff: Dining Room 6* The staff worked very hard, there was only half as many as there should be Staff: Lounge 10 Staff: Housekeeping 10 2 free loads of laundry, 20 piences, returned in 24 hours Staff: Guest Services 1-10 Did not communicate birthday celebration, did call when pangas were loading Staff: Guides 6-10 Seals don't have external ears….. Some were excellent Staff: Boat drivers 10 Food: Breakfast 8 Lots of standard offerings Food: Lunch 7 Food: Dinner 5 Quality of meats, other than chicken, was not high. Seafood was excellent Food: Top deck 5 Same quality limitations as dining room with less skilled preparation Tours Gardner Bay - walk + snorkel 8 Good intro to sea lions& marine iguanas; snorkeling OK Pta. Suarez - short walk 10* Take the long walk for better bird photos but short walk was excellent Champion Island - snorkel 3 Starting the excursion on the windward side of the island cause 16% (6/35) of the people on the tour to drop out. Post Office Bay walk + tender 5 Tender ride was good; Not worth the time, our guide knew lass than the 1 hour documentary available on-line Pta Moreno - tender 10 Urbina Bay 8 First land iguanas, finches, not much else. Power walkers did not seem to be enjoying themselves Pta Espinoza 10 Interesting landscape Pta Vicente Roca 8 South Plaza 10 Long walk was excellent Dragon Hill 4 Short tour with little to experience Darwin Research Center 6 Scalesia planting 3 Planting trees in a bulldozed forest?
