This ship is disappointing. The room 2640 is on top of the engine room and is very noisy. The decor is tired and dated. The staff and food are excellent but it feels budget in comparison with celebrity and P & O. For example, there are no nice complimentary toiletries - just some body wash in a locked container in the shower. There are no little towel animals or chocolates on the pillow, nor is there any complimentary room service (they charge 8 dollars). Also the sheets are past their best and are bobbled. In the windjammer restaurant the plates and glasses are made of plastic. In the formal dining room there are only two waiters per three large tables meaning service is painfully slow and drinks sometimes don't arrive (no sommeliers at all). Again, no one to pull out your chair and place your napkin on your lap - those little extra touches that make all the difference. Also no coffee after your dinner. Entertainment good, but I like cruising because you are made to feel special and I WANT all those little extra special things. Sorry Royal Caribbean but I think you have gone too far in trying to penny pinch. I shall be going elsewhere for my next cruise.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

This was allocated on arrival. On second floor. Very noisy as on top of either the laundry or some heavy machinery. For about half an hour the whole cabin vibrates with the racket and it only stops for about 10 mins then starts again. This lasts until about midnight then starts again first thing. It is accompanied by lots of banging. It's impossible to sleep through so if you have the choice of a room I don't recommend this one (or any on this level to be honest)
