This was our first Viking cruise: Venice to Barcelona. The Viking Star is a gorgeous ship, clean, beautifully furnished and kept up. I was consistently impressed by how nice it was, with comfort as a key component of the ship's design and decor. The cabin was roomy and comfortable to hang out in, and the balcony was great. How wonderful to wake up each morning in a different amazing port! Entertainment was kind of corny, but fun and well done and everyone enjoyed the energy and liveliness of the young entertainers. Food was solid: we mostly ate in the World Cafe, as lunches ashore were big and late, so we usually wanted a lighter dinner. Didn't keep us from our nightly gelato on board, though. The service was friendly and attentive -- and this applies to ALL staff we encountered. We appreciated the variety of the excursions and the exceptional local guides. Really, we found nothing to disappoint in this experience and will certainly cruise with Viking again.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda Stateroom

Loved the cabin. I was suprised at how well thought out its design was. Comfortable bed, very useful desk with charging, great reading lamps, etc. Bathroom well laid out and with ample storage for everything. Also good closet and storage in the cabin, so it was easy to keep the room tidy and neat.
