First time cruising NCL and some major bumps starting off as our airport to hotel transportation never picked us up in Rome and when we called the service (SMS) we were told they don’t provide that service despite the fact we had a confirmation. This resulted in an OVERPRICED cab ride to the hotel. I reported this as soon as I boarded the Jade expecting a credit, but was told I had to file a past cruise claim when I returned. Kind of unacceptable. I am home almost a week, 3 phone calls later I was told I can only submit online. I did on Thursday and am still waiting for a response or claim number. Those bumps aside, the rest of the cruise was great. The itinerary was AMAZING, specialty dining was great, cabin was great. The Ultimate Drink Package does result in not enough servers and you having to get your own drinks most of the time, but I’m assuming this is happening on all Lines as well. They’re gonna hustle a little more when they’re getting $12 a drink than when they’re getting unlimited drinks! like the general concept of free style cruising and know that all cruise lines are moving in that direction, however the personal touch is somewhat lost for those of us who remember when your servers knew what you drank and whether you liked fresh pepper by the 2nd night of your cruise. All in all it was a great cruise, just disappointed in NCL Customer Service on an After Cruise Corporate Level
Cabin was perfectly located (mid ship), perfect size, updated and comfortable. Our steward Alan was great and responsive to all of our needs
