Viking Star was the second cruise out of a 4 cruise itinerary. I wasn’t sure it would be our style but we loved it from the first moment on board. We felt so loved and welcomed. The entire crew and staff were visible all the time with a cool towel and drink after returning from side tours. The food was very good but not as good as QM2. Room service was great! Explorer Lounge was our spot for after dinner drinks. The 2 guys that work that area are awesome. We loved that the ship had books everywhere. The pianist Andrea was outstanding along with the slack key guitarist. The entertainment was all great along with the lectures and port talks. We loved the included excursion at every port. Their side tours were very reasonable along with the premium beverage pkg. the spa was great. I got a pedicure and the technician was great. Our cabin attendant was great. We had a balcony cabin. We liked the Nesprrsso in the room. The bathroom was awesome! The large shower and heated floors were s huge plus. Thank you Viking. You finally got what cruisers want! The laundry room worked great. The daily program worked great with our lifestyle. Timing of the daily schedule is important to us due to sleeping times after long excursion days. The expensive excursion to the Vatican was not worth the $. It was not Viking’s fault but 45,000 people were in there on our day. We felt literally pushed thru and unsafe. The tour guides were wonderful and tried to make it bearable. The Panoramic Rome bus tour was great. We loved the itinerary, especially the Croatia stops of Split and Dubrovnik. We loved Corfu too. We also liked the night on the boat in Barcelona. The included tour was wonderful. We had a magical 12 days and will definitely take another Viking cruise.
