Sail Date: Oct 2019

We were on the Oct 4th sailing of the Equinox. We went a day early, stayed at Comfort Suites (who provided free transportation from the airport) in Fort Lauderdale, and had a delicious seafood dinner at Dockers within walking distance of the hotel. They had a nice shuttle to the cruise terminal for $10 each.

Due to high swells at Grand Cayman and the tender boats not being able to sail safely, that port was closed. It was disappointing somewhat, but they gave us 4 extra hours in Aruba so that was nice.

We had a wonderful time in the other 4 ports -- Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, and Key West. Eagle Beach in Aruba and Mambo Beach in Curacao both were beautfiul, and had nice sandy beaches with plenty of palapas for shade. We chose an excursion that was a city tour and beach break in Bonaire. Coco Beach there was very rocky, chairs were crowded together, and there was not much shade, so it was our least favorite beach.
