Regal Princess Cruise Review by Beverly Wright
- Sail Date: September 2019
- Destination: Canada & New England
- Cabin Type: Balcony
We stayed in the front on the 12 th floor and it was a quiet floor with no pass through to anything else which was nice.
The food was pretty good in the main dining room, otherwise mediocre.
The staff did a good job of moving people out for excursions....it was a lot of people...3000!
The first excursion we made arrangements for ourselves to do a tour in Newport. But the day we toured Bar Harbor there was a major mix up! Our excursion itinerary said we would stop several places for photos, we only stopped one place and when we questioned our guide, he said he could not do a thing....he had to stick to his schedule. We were so disappointed! Then when we got back into town we paid for the local bus to take us back to Thunder Hole to enjoy the Acadia National Park. We went to the excursion desk on ship to explain and were given a paper to fill out. The cruise line only gave us 20% money back. Poorly done.
Also, when we arrived to board, we stood more than 2 hours, not moving....Terrible
One party in our group got her suitcase late that day with duct tape and Saran Wrap around it! They offered to repair it. There is no night club and the entertainment was average.
In the fitness room there is no water to re fill water bottles, only a fountain! One cannot get their water bottle under the low pouring water from the fountain!
We did enjoy each port and the stops were beautiful to see.
