This is the second time we have sailed on Celebrity Silhouette and our 15th Celebrity cruise altogether. As usual the service food, entertainment etc. were excellent. We had a wonderful stateroom attendant John and our waiter Wilfrid, assistant waiter Nitin and sommelier Alex looked after us extremely well and were very knowledgeable regarding menus and wines. We always chose late dining at 8.30pm as we prefer to go to the show before our evening meal. We were seated on Deck 3 in the main dining room which we love as we prefer to have the same table with the same waiting staff each evening. The evening meals were excellent, well cooked and always hot. Our only concern is that, having cruised with Celebrity many times, we feel that the evening dessert menu should be regularly changed.The food in the Oceanview is so varied you cannot manage to try everything and the desserts are extraordinary. Our stateroom was very clean as was the bathroom. Our bathroom toiletries were always replenished. The ship is due an upgrade in January which it is in need of as the décor and carpets are now looking unfashionable due to the colour schemes. The evening entertainment that we went to in the theatre was good as were the guest speakers throughout the day. Our Cruise Director Bethany was excellent. The only gripe we have is that so much of the armchair seating has disappeared from the balconies overlooking the Grand Foyer and from the Passport Bar on that level so, when entertainment is taking place in this venue you are very lucky if you can find somewhere to sit. Mostly we had to stand and watch. However, we will always book cruises with Celebrity as we have never had a bad one, and already have reservations for 2 cruises from Cape Liberty in May next year and another future cruise booked for 2021.
