Exploring the Baltic, Scandinavia and Russia have long been on our bucket list. No better way than on a "small" cruise ship, especially one with Viking's reknowned reputation. Our embarkation was smooth, both pre and final boarding of the ship, with the always courteous and very welcoming crew. Once aboard viewing the bright spacious interior with its many appointments, amenities and services assured us we were to be pampered, spoiled and well fed for the duration of our adventure. Our stateroom, a "Deluxe Veranda" appeared and was always kept neat clean and comfortable. Given the opportunity to pre-book reservations in both "Manfredi's" and the "Chef's Table" restaurants we not disappointed. Fine dining with "French" style service and meals prepared to perfection. Of the on-board activities we frequented the "Spa" and "Fitness Centre", attended the informative port talks and knowledgable and historic lectures. The cruise itinerary and choice of excursions provided us a wide selection of interesting activities at every port.

Not having experienced an "ocean" cruise we weren't sure what to expect. We were definitely not disappointed, never bored and the time did not pass by too fast or slow.
