Friends who had travelled on many cruise lines before suggested that Viking was now one of the top - so well worth considering if we wanted to cruise.

The entire cruise and the staff who looked after us were superb. The ship never seems crowded / no queuing in the restaurants. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. More expensive than some other cruise lines but you only get what you pay for!

The shore excursion guides were very knowledgeable but I did wish on occasions that we had been given more time to explore the various places by ourselves as in Nice and Monaco Perhaps not to have combined both places in one tour would have given us the additional time we should have liked to look around that particular place.
