Sail Date: Sep 2019

We have received brochures from Viking for many years, for river cruises, most of which went to places we had already visited by land. When this cruise down the Adriatic came through, we chose it to celebrate our Golden Wedding, as a special treat. It could not have been more wonderful. The whole ship was beautifully laid out, with attractive, subtle decoration (not all gold and glitz), it was extremely efficiently run with every procedure going smoothly, and the staff were all fantastic - friendly, helpful and cheerful, even when they had been working all day, and some during the night too while we sailed.

All the visits in port were beautifully organised and the guides were good. The crowds in some towns were unfortunate but on board, we did not feel at all crowded, despite there being 1400 people on board.

This holiday was way beyond our expectations and we are recommending Viking to all our friends. Another trip may well be in the diary at some stage.

Cabin Review

Cabin delux veranda

our cabin was lovely, clean with a beautiful view from the balcony. We were on the starboard side so saw the sun setting several evenings. Our cabin steward, Yulian, was perfect. He greeted us cheerfully and showed us everything, then looked after every need throughout the whole cruise - we could not have been better served. We even had a bottle of champagne and a cake given us to celebrate our 50 years married - how perfect is that!
