The overall experience with Viking Ocean Cruise was excellent. Having been on other ocean cruise lines, we appreciated the laid back but elegant atmosphere of Viking Orion. The service was also very good - everyone wanted to be as helpful as possible.

Things that could use a little improvement included the logistics of getting from the airport to the ship. There seemed to be a little more chaos then we experienced with our River Cruise transfers. In addition, it was unseasonably hot during the trip and we had some difficulty getting cold water sometimes in the World Cafe (one of the ice machines was broken) and in the pool area / Winter Garden finding someone to bring us water. That said, for the excursions, we were always provided with bottled water and encouraged to stay hydrated.

Our cabin stewards we wonderful, as were all the bar and dining staff. We particularly enjoyed the food at the Chef's Table with the wine pairings. We indulged in the Silver Spirits package and were very happy with that. Read more
