Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

We chose Norwegian based on destination and schedule. We will never use them again. Their service is not up to par with other cruise lines we've taken and the food was also sub-par. The ship itself was okay, but it was a smaller ship. Getting lounge chairs around the pool was pretty much impossible on the at-sea day and not much better on port days either. We were a mini-suite mid-ship with balcony, but directly below their kids center, where they permitted the children to bang on everything from morning until 10:30 at night. Be aware of this when choosing your cabin location.

Upgrade problems: we ordered some upgrades, including a case of water and a champagne service. Those items were never delivered to our cabin. We complained at the customer desk, they promised to fix it, and it still didn't arrive. Mid-cruise we told them we wanted to cancel the items and have our card credited. They never did that. Called customer service after the cruse, explained what happened and they claimed they would need to confirm with on-ship staff that the stuff was never delivered. They did nothing. No credit ever received.

Bottom line: I expect stellar customer service from cruise lines and I'll use that as benchmark when selecting cruises. Norwegian is off the list.
