We decided on this cruise for our honeymoon and loved it. This was our first cruise and first time to Europe, so nothing to compare too, other than our south all inclusive trips.
We had an ocean view picture window room number 5616, we thought it was great location, midship, 2 doors down from stairs and elevator, we weren’t sure about high traffic area, but didn’t hear anything, and getting off to ports were great as we only had to go down one set of stairs if elevator was busy. Getting to restaurant and entertainment was also easy.
Our room itself was compact but very functional, lots of space and storage for everything, never felt cluttered and lots of charging spots, no need to bring extra. The only thing is we wished regular daily announcements would be in our stateroom as well as public area. Our maid was very nice and kept our room clean, had turn down and even made some towel art for me.
We were very impressed with cabin, it was compact but
Room for everything, plenty of room and lots of space and storage for everything and I
Didn’t even need to use my power bar, had lots of charging spots and location was great!
We loved Venice, we were there for 2 days which was long enough for us. We explored on our own, did the gondola ride, went to st marks square, Murano, lido, and all the areas around hotel principe which was right on the canal. We bought the two day pass for water busses which was great, ($36pp or $7 each time you got on) we used them to go everywhere, definitely worth the money, especially with bringing luggage to our cruise ship, which meant no steps on the bridges. We did lots of walking and getting lost which was always good and easy still to get back. We’ve never saw so many restaurants with only pizza, pasta and seafood, it tends to get repetitive. The buildings and architecture was amazing to see.
We loved Argostoli, seemed like a more relaxed area than our other port stop, the one thing we did notice was how green the trees were here unlike other areas. We got a taxi ($10 each way) to an awesome beach “Gialos Beach- costa costa beach” that we truly enjoyed, easiest access at this area of beach, you can rent 2 beds and hut or umbrella for either $8 or $15 for more comfortable ones. The beach was beautiful, Sandy, water was warm and crystal clear, no need for water shoes. They have a restaurant/ bar right on beach along with bathroom facilities. This was our little piece of heaven as we missed the beaches being on a cruise.
This area was nice, similar to a little Venice, lots of shops and restaurants, and can swim just before you hit the main area of you want. We had some great deserts here at a place called DaVinci gelato, nice and close for walking
