We chose to go on the Breakaway so we could get to Tortola to do the Gorda Salt Bath excursion. We’ve sailed on the Breakaway twice before and enjoy the ship layout. Despite missing two ports on the cruise that was unavoidable there were other factors that made me rate this as only a two out of five. We had a “Make Up Room” light out on our stateroom and this caused some delays getting our room cleaned the first couple days. Maintenance was aware of the issue as our Room Steward told us he reported it the cruise before ours. Another issue was the room below us the occupants smoked out on their balcony during the cruise and that too was reported and all we were told was they spoke to them. So the no smoking policy is not in forced on this ship. We had the same shows as we have seen since 2016 and are tired of. Burn the Floor is a great show along with Rock of Ages but enough is enough. We’ve been on four ships and had same main shows on almost all of them. Also the wait times for service at the pool bar, Sheehan’s bar and bar outside Carney’s and Savor dining rooms was ridiculous. Staff said the ship is short staffed and they can’t get help. Lastly, the menus in the dining rooms never changes from cruise to cruise. It’s the same everyday dinner menu that they had two years ago every night and the feature items are also basically the same. So if your a frequent traveler it gets very mundane and boring. The Shakers bar had great entertainment but it is right by the casino and it reaked of smoke. I’m not sure why they can’t filter the smoke order better or make it nonsmoking all together. NCL needs to make some changes otherwise it’s pretty boring.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B3

Room was ok. Bed needs more padding when pushing beds together. Balcony was really small. Chairs had to face each other and no room to move around. Smokers below us made our balcony unusable. Nothing was done about them.
