  • Cabin Type: Mini-Suite with Balcony

The embarkation was terrible it took 41/2 hours to get us all aboard. There were three cruise ships, 9,000 people boarding at the same time. Lots of people saying they have never experienced such a wait and would never do this cruise again. Definately put me off going on a Princess cruise again. Ended up leaving an hour late! The food was mediocre, and please when you do an Italian dish, look it up as it was was not made properly. Our room was cold and a shower would be better then a bath as people with certain disabilities find it hard to climb in. Otherwise the entertainment was great, but the casino could have more of a variety of slot machines. Ship is very clean and so is the restaurant. When making milkshakes straws are used NOT spoons. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The advertising for Effee needs to be toned down a lot. On the whole I had fun.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony
Cabin MD D315

The suite was average, could be modernized. It would be nice if the suite has a shower and not a bath. The room was very cold, the heating did not work. Enjoyed having a balcony room, makes it feel warmer and not claustrophobic.

Rainforest Hike

Be prepared to kayak in the pouring rain. The rain gear they gave us kept us dry and warm. We had a wonderful guide called Sam who paddled with us to the other side. We were greeted with hot chocolate, tea and coffee, a delicious spread of salmon spread, raspberry jam, sourdough bread and crackers. They gave us this delicious clam chowder which really warmed us up. All this was cooked on a wood camp fire. Then we went on a short hike and were shown interesting things native to Alaska. We then paddled back and were taken back to the ship by bus by a pleasant driver who kept us entertained.
