Had a wonderful 4 day cruise with perfect weather, ship and crew/staff were excellent. What brings the whole rating down was the technical issues we experienced with our stateroom. The embarking was a very pleasant and positive experience, very well done. Rooms ready when promised and plenty to do while waiting for the room. Key West was well done given the short amount of time you have there, we did a bike tour and enjoyed the history and sense of humor our guide shared with us. The private island was wonderful with plenty of room to spread out ( we were the only ship on the island, so lots of extra room and no waiting -except at the bar). Specialty dinning was very tasty and service was excellent.
Public areas of ship are in great shape
We booked an owners suite, primarily because of the hot tub and forward facing balcony. In addition, we wanted a DVD player in the room. So we bite the bullet and pay the premium for the "owners suite" and find out that the hot tub will not hold water, the DVD player will not play video (only audio) and the thermostat in bedroom had bad contacts and sounded like an alarm clock going off every 15 to 30 minutes. All of the issues were brought to our butler's attention and the staff attempted to address them. Thermostat got changed, hot tub was manually plugged and the DVD player worked once. These are not the worst things that can happen on a cruise but when you only have a few days spending part of them reporting issues and then waiting for repairs is kind of a bummer.
Only ship on the island (and a small one at that) so plenty of room to spread out
