We choose this cruise as we live in Rome and leaving from Civitaveccia is easy. Smooth embarking and cabin ready at 12.30. Aurea Suite which was with good space and nice view. I liked the beds and pillows. I did not like the linnen as it was not a pure cotton. They do not win the first price for cleaning. Many finger marks on doors and walls. On the first day I had to ask for the bathrobes, slippers and diffuser which come with the Aurea Suite package. Cabin steward very kind. Food is like in any 3 star resort. In other words below standard. Self service restaurant is terrible, service in bars is slow and not always friendly. In general staff is not interested. A simple question is too much. Not efficient at all. Staff not well trained to serve huge numbers of people. 7 days and 6 ports. Disembarking and embarking guests in all 6 ports. Confusion, luggage, safety drills and certain areas blocked every day. Day 6 "man over board" at 6 am. Alarm in all cabins, confusion and hundreds of people with life vests moving around the ship. Confusion because at the safety drill they only explain the genetal alert which is different from "man over board" alert. Information only given after 30 minutes. Fortunate they saved the "jumper". I guess this would also have been the case if they would not have woken up 3500 people. All in one, a huge factory! Not hell but far from heaven.
