This was our first cruise with Viking Many of our friends had recommended Viking, indicating that we would not be disappointed and their recommendations and descriptions were fulfilled in spades.

We enjoyed the wonderful daily tours and tour guides The food on board was very good. We especially enjoyed the daily variety and willingness to customize the selection (e.g. appetizer as entree). The afternoon and evening piano entertainment was fabulous as the pianist consistently interacted with the audience. He kept us active and happy late into the evening We enjoyed the intimacy of the crew as they consistently addressed us by name and treated us with class, kindness, caring, consideration and professionalism. The trip coincided with our 48th wedding anniversary and the crew celebrated with us at dinner which was a very nice touch We had approximately 185 guests and 50 crew members so we never felt like any request was unattended The outside evening entertainment was wonderful and we enjoyed a glass blowing exhibition with the customers of a sister Viking ship. We visited the Black Forest after the exhibition and as indicated by the customers on the other ship who had been to the Black Forest, the exhibitor's prices on board were 50% of those charged at the shops in the Black Forest providing a good deal for the Viking guests. the ship was clean and neat and very inviting The customer service provided by the staff was simply spectacular We look forward to our next cruise with Viking
