We chose the Mediterranean Odyssey as a mode of travel in order to enjoy sights centered near the ports of call on this particular itinerary. We also selected the Viking cruise line for its reputation of quality as well as the smaller number of passengers on this particular voyage.

The timing of the cruise was also meaningful to us as it was in celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary as well as the time of the year weather wise.

The entertainment turned out to be a complete surprise as we did not choose Viking with the expectation of being presented with famous singers, comedians, etc. The cruise director and vocalists were superb and the band musicians were outstanding. It was just enough variety after full days of sightseeing. The cruise had a very low key relaxed ambiance. The fact that it was a non smoking ship, no casino with smokers to navigate through was a most welcome pleasure.

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior penthouse suite

Wonderful team, very attentive. Both Honey and Ketut were engaging and kind. The cabin was very comfortable. We enjoyed having the extra sitting area space with a curtain divider. Our cabin attendant added a mattress topper to make our king sized bed extra comfortable.
