This was my third Norwegian cruise. Loved first one so much got 4 friends to join us on 2nd. Great service, food and entertainment. Only complaint was transportation. If your in a wheelchair, DON'T USE NORWEGIAN TRANSPORTATION FROM AIRPORT TO PIER. They were supposed to send bus with a lift the first cruise and didn't, my husband had to carry me up the narrow stairs and put me in a seat, thank goodness I only weigh 95 lbs.. Learned my lesson and called NCL and talked to access desk assuring me there would be a special medi-lift van when we arrived at airport. Was told to call and remind them within 2 weeks of the trip. Called and waited nearly 3 hrs. on the phone and got hung up on. Sent an email and called our travel agent who talked to rep. and all assured me it has been ordered and will be there. It's a very long story but end game it wasn't there either way and the bus coming back from pier was late then took forever loading all the people with later flights getting worried about our time. Finally at airport everyone gets off big bus comes to put down lift and it doesn't work. The driver tried everything, called people, never to get it open. Again my 73 year old husband and our friend with cancer had to carry me down the narrow aisle and steep steps backwards. Just got to our gate in time to board.
Now for my terrible cruise.
My cruise had been payed for months as you have to do. My fees for specialty dining, drink pkg. all payed. Two weeks before cruise I got an email saying if I didn't pay for my specialty pkgs. by 9:00 a.m., I first saw it at 4 p.m. after Best Price Cruises calls me. So NOW I'm already late WITH THEIR DEMAND WARNING that I would be unable to get the pkgs. Best Price Cruises assured me I had payed it and had been talking with Norwegian rep. End result, THEY had a computer glitch refunding me the $308.00 and I had to pay it back immediately. No apologies, no it was our fault just a demand letter under the gun.
