OUR FRIENDS HAD PREVIOUSLY BOOKED THIS SHIP LAST YEAR TO RENEW THEIR WEDDING VOWS - we only booked on the sat before we sailed on the Thursday and it was the Best ever cruise we have had - we have sailed with P & O to the Caribbean and done three cruises on NCL - which we thought were unbeatable ..............BUT MARELLA CELEBRATION BEATS THEM ALL FOR VALUE FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT - YES IT MAYBE NOT AS GLITZY AND GLAMOROUS AS PREVIOUS SHIPS WE HAVE SAILED ON ...BUT MY GOODNESS IT MADE UP FOR THAT IN SUCH PERSONAL WAYS .....here's to the next Marella cruise
The food was excellent in both the Lido buffet and the Meridan Restaurant - I have never experienced such friendly staff - everyone said Hi or Hello and this made us feel even more welcome - the duty free shops were small but excellent value and finally the entertainment team worked so hard - they were fabulous and the guest singer Richard Hadfiel was truly amazing so much so we attended both the shows he performed on .....All in All well done Marella cannot wait to book the next one

as we only booked on the sat before we sailed on the thursday we had to have an allocated cabin - this was inside and was so spacious ...much bigger than we have had on NCL or P & O and we paid extra for balconies with both companies ........

WE GOT OFF THE SHIP ON WENT ON A PUFFING BILLY TRAin - WHICH TOOK US UP INTO THE MOUNTAINS AND THEN BACK DOWN INTO THE TOWN - SUCH A BEAUTIFUL ISLAND

BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND SO CLEAN AND TIDY - the sea making the sounds of pan pipes was beautiful - well worth the visit
Venice
very disappointed with this place - perhaps my expectations were too high - but we paid for the water bus from the port to st marks square - then went on a gondola 100.00 pounds for half an hour .....once away from the grand canal - the waterways smelled horrendous - like blocked drains .....the queues for everything was ridiculous .......so expensive some guests on the ship had paid 12.00 for a pint - too me it was just a rip off place !!!!

lovely place and so clean - was lucky to witness cars arriving for the Adriatric Endurance Car rally ...so that was a bonus
Split
we booked a cabriolet tour for the 4 ofus - great driver took us all over showed us all the places of interest ....then we were dropped off at the old town - very good -but far too busy for me -
Dubrovnik
After a short flight we arrived in Dubrovnik - the idea was to go and register our book in aboard the ship Marella Celebration and then return to the town to sight see - but the ship was far more interesting - so we only drove through dubrovnik - but it looked lovely
