This was our honeymoon. My husband and I flew into Seattle 3 days early. Rent a car and travel to the Boeing plant. Worth the trip! Stayed at the Westin, nice hotel. Ship The ship is gorgeous, and feels brand new. From the dining areas to the deck layouts, it all feels very modern. Common areas are spacious but the elevator situation, especially forward, leaves a lot to be desired. Cabin We were in a minisuite. Don't bother the upgrade from balcony. Unless you both are size 2 or below, there in no way youll ever need both sinks. Shower was decent. Dining If you are used to lobster at sea, or are expecting crab legs at some point in Alaska, you might want to rethink this. Food was middling but by the 3rd day, I found myself eating the same things over and over again in the complimentary dining. Cagneys is an overpriced steakhouse, La Cucina had some of the worst Italian food I've eating, and Teppenyaki, while good with large portions, is the same thing you get everywhere else. The District has a decent craft beer list, Maltings does whiskey flights, and the Observation deck is the place to go for a Martini. Entertainment/Activities Are you over 60? You'll love it. Under 10? Totally a blast. 11-59? Get ready for some long times in your cabins. Who really buys art at sea? Who honestly wants to learn napkin folding? Who needs Chinese tshirts at 4 for $40, when the next day everything is 60% off? Silent disco? Deserted. The shows do sell out, though I am not sure why...middling performances at best. And attend the comedy club at your own risk. Are you not a straight, white male age 18-49? Get ready to be offended. Service Service was great. Most passengers treat them like servants, and it took 3 days til I heard another passenger even say thank you. Shore Excursions Plan your own. Rip off for what they charge. Take the Juneau city bus to the glacier ($2) and hike 1.5 miles to the visitor center. Rent a car and go explore. Whales are in the harbor...no need for whale watching. Skagway is a ploy to sell you something...anything. Do not expect cheap king crab prices ($35-70 a leg). I do recommend Klondike Brewing Company, and at 9th and Alaska, hit up Skagway distilling. Excellent vodka and gin. Glacier bay is spectacular. Ketchikan was closed due to wind. Dont even get off the boat in Victoria. You have time to walk into town and walk back which is 5 miles round trip. Overall, if you want to see Alaska, fly into Juneau and spend a couple days. The fly into Anchorage, rent a jeep and go exploring. This cruise is nothing more than a ploy to gouge you for money at every turn.

Ship

The ship is gorgeous, and feels brand new. From the dining areas to the deck layouts, it all feels very modern. Common areas are spacious but the elevator situation, especially forward, leaves a lot to be desired.

Cabin

We were in a minisuite. Don't bother the upgrade from balcony. Unless you both are size 2 or below, there in no way youll ever need both sinks. Shower was decent.

Dining

If you are used to lobster at sea, or are expecting crab legs at some point in Alaska, you might want to rethink this.
