Wanted to see Alaska and this cruise was recommended. The ship is huge and beautiful. I have never seen anything like the observatory on deck 15. We wanted to hang in this area more, but it was hard to find a space to sit because so many people were there. Our cabin was better than expected. There were plenty of places to eat and a variety of food was offered. We had the prepaid beverage package. This package is a must for anyone who drinks alcohol. The entertainment on board was good.Roberto and Alex were great but I would have like more activities to be offered and more diversity among the entertainers. The highlight of the entertainment was the dance battle competition. The service on board was top notch. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The shore excursions offerings were average. Disembarking the first day was not smooth at all. Family/friend groups were separated and ended up on different buses. Norwegian needs to work out a plan to assure groups stay together. On the next stop, the ship did make adjustments and getting off the ship was better. After going on an excursion the first day, there was no time to view the city/town, so we decided not to do an excursion on the next stop and see what the city/town had to offer. Kudos to Norwegian for offering the Port Valet service. Our luggage was picked up from outside our cabin the night before disembarkment, taken to the airport and we picked it up at our final home destination airport. Great service that was free of charge. Because we went to Alaska near the end of the cruise season there, Norwegian paid for our air flights. I would consider cruising with Norwegian again.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Our stateroom was 9772. The room was nicer than I expected but this room made a creaking and knocking sound that the crew could not fix when the sea was a little rough. This occurs on 2 days. The crew came in twice to try and fix it, but it was not corrected. I would recommend another cabin because our friends did not have any problems with their cabins (they were in 4 different rooms on different decks). Frederick was the attendant who cleaned our room. He was excellent. He cleaned, stocked us with needed toiletries, respected our privacy and kept us informed. We cannot praise him enough.

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

We never left the ship to see the glaciers but this was one of the highlights of the cruise.

Skagway

Skagway is a very small town that we walked to and brought some souvenirs. Did not take an excursion.

Victoria

Beautiful city at night. The view was great but not enough time to really explore the city.
