This matched some places we wanted to see, particularly Crete, and also allowed is to spend a few days in Rome before the cruise and then in Athens after the cruise. Princess is one of the top cruise lines and embarkation was fast. Our bags were delivered minutes after arriving at our cabin. We only saw our cabin steward once at the beginning but there were no problems. The entertainment was good, however, we have been on ships that had far better entertainment. The excursions were great, although we could not dock at Mykonos, which was no fault to the ship. The excursion staff were very efficient and the shore side excursion people were very good. The only criticism would be that the food quality is not as good as it used to be, particularly in the buffet on the Lido deck. Overall, it was a good trip and we would recommend it.

The cabin was satisfactory, good view. I liked that the room safe was a decent size. Some of the newer ships have reduced the size of the safes.

Salerno

Pompeii was a fantastic excursion. You will not regret this one.
